Microsoft Edge has surpassed the 11% level for the first time since its launch, even according to Statcounter (including OG "Spartan" Microsoft Edge from 2015). The market share of the contemporary Chromium-based Edge increased over time by 0.31 points, reaching 11.17%. For comparison, Microsoft Edge's percentage was around 9.52% a year ago.

With a market share of 66.13%, Google Chrome is still in the lead and firmly established as the leading browser.

A number of forums, including Reddit, Facebook, and others have reported that one of the possible reasons users are hesitant to switch to Microsoft Edge is the many features that will not be used in the browser. Sadly, despite the increase, quite a few users still stick to their favorite browsers, including Google Chrome.
