Microsoft has started adjusting its roadmap for Manifest v3 implementation and stopping Manifest v2 compatibility in Microsoft Edge Chromium, following Google's example of postponing Manifest V3.

According to the most recent revision of the documentation, Microsoft will continue to support Manifest v2 through January 2024. However, despite the fact that Microsoft no longer accepts browser extensions with Manifest v2 in Microsoft Edge Add-ons, developers are still able to update and add new functionality to existing extensions.

Of course, this is wonderful news because, as we all know, Manifest v2 is still more effective at blocking advertisements when used in conjunction with browser extensions than other adblockers and extensions that have started to migrate.
