How to Change Default Graphic Settings of Apps in Windows 11

How to Change Default Graphic Settings of Apps in Windows 11 Especially for those of you who use two graphics in one device .

Especially for those of you who use two graphics in one device like we where there is Intel HD for low power mode and Nvidia for performance mode, we can set the default graphic settings of the application from Windows 11 manually.

The benefit itself is that we can set whether certain applications use integrated graphics or dedicated graphics manually, where maybe in some cases there are applications that suddenly open in High performance, even though it would be better if they open in low power mode.

Now for you Nvidia users, actually we can do the same steps through the Nvidia Control Panel, but to be more universal because not all Windows 11 users also use Nvidia, we can set these default graphic settings directly from Windows 11, how? The following WinPoin summarizes the short steps.

First make sure you have two gpu's on your device, you can use device manager then look at Display adapters.

Next, please go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics.

Then select the application you want to change the default graphic settings. But if there is no application that you want to choose from the list that is available, then you can click on the browse button, and then select the application, for example here I will change OBS so that every time it opens, OBS uses Intel HD Graphics only.

If you have browsed the application and you have added it, please click Options.

Next, please select the default graphic settings you want, for example here I changed OBS to use Power saving, because if it is set in let windows decide or high performance mode OBS on my device cannot record the screen properly.

Click Save and you're done.
